The JET (miniature central tube non-metallic optical cable) is designed with a specific structure. It involves placing 250μm single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers inside a loose tube made of high modulus material. This loose tube is then filled with a waterproof compound. Additionally, a non-metallic strength member, specifically made of aramid, is stranded around the outside of the loose tube. Finally, the cable is extruded with a sheath made of black or colored high-density polyethylene (HDPE), resulting in a complete and functional cable.
Main Features
The non-metallic structural design of the cable effectively eliminates radio interference and electromagnetic wave interference, ensuring optimal signal quality. Furthermore, the specially designed compact optical cable structure prevents sleeve retraction, ensuring a secure and stable connection.
The inclusion of aramid fiber strengthening elements enhances the cable's tensile properties, providing excellent durability and reliability. Additionally, the tube is filled with a special ointment that offers critical protection to the optical fibers, safeguarding them from external factors.
Notably, the cable exhibits good flexibility, allowing for easy installation and maneuverability. Despite its high optical fiber assembly density, the cable maintains a small diameter and lightweight construction, making it ideal for air blowing laying methods.
