The ADSS optical cable features a robust loose-tube layered structure for superior performance. The 250µm optical fiber is carefully inserted into a high modulus material loose tube, which is then filled with a waterproof compound. To create a compact and durable cable core, the loose tube, along with the filling rope, is expertly stranded around a non-metallic central reinforcing core made of FRP. The gaps within the cable core are meticulously filled with water-resistant grease. Furthermore, the cable core is protected by a polyethylene (PE) inner sheath, and reinforced using stranded aramid fibers. Finally, it is extruded with a polyethylene (PE) outer sheath or an electric tracking resistance (AT) outer sheath, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Main Features
Uninterrupted Power Erection: The ADSS cable is designed with an AT sheath that offers exceptional electric tracking resistance. It can withstand high induced voltages of up to 25KV during operation, ensuring uninterrupted power transmission.
- Lightweight and Compact Design: With a small cable diameter and reduced weight, the ADSS cable minimizes the impact of ice, wind, and load on the supporting structures. This design ensures enhanced durability and reliability even in challenging weather conditions.
- Extended Span Capability: The ADSS cable is engineered to provide large spans, exceeding 1000 meters. This capability allows for flexible installation without the need for frequent intermediate supports, reducing installation costs and complexity.
